Dr. Jarmo Mäkelä is a recent addition to the CSC staff, working on Digital Twins. Before joining CSC, Jarmo has previously worked as a research scientist in fields related to Earth System Sciences at the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI) and at the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI). He has a PhD in mathematics and his expertise includes, e.g., model calibration utilizing Bayesian methods and AI assisted simulator-based inference.
